Hello. I'm really sad to post this. But I'm looking for the perfect forever home for our girl Finka. One of our cats just isn't getting used to her, which is making the other cat stressed. We have tried everything and consulted our vet, but nothing has worked.
Finka is a small calico/tabby, DSH. She is estimated to be between 10 months old to a little over 1 year old. She survived what was suspected to be an animal attack. She was almost euthanized because she had bad neurological damage from it, but she miraculously got better. She has mild neurological issues still, but nothing bad. Mostly her depth perception is very poor. She eats fine but you have to hand-feed her treats or she can't find them. She will put a paw in her water and food so she knows where to bite/drink. When you hold her she puts her paw on your cheek. She is so incredibly precious.
Please note, she uses the litterbox perfectly, but sometimes her back feet will get dirty from it, and she struggles to clean them because of her poor depth perception. She tries, but has a hard time with it, so I scrub them with a warm, damp towel. It isn't an issue for me at all, but I don't want her to be in a home where it will be an issue.
She is very healthy overall, super friendly to cats and people, and very easy-going. She is so brave and rarely gets scared or startled. She is and LOVES wet food. She is fixed and UTD on shots.
I do not recommend a home with little kids or anyone reactive to (non-aggressive) nips. When you feed her treats she may accidentally nip your finger trying to grab it. And if you scratch her back enough, she will groom you, which means she'll try to nibble you, but she may accidentally do it too hard.
I will be asking questions and with anyone seriously interested, so I can feel comfortable with who she's going to. I also need the adopter to promise to stay in touch with me and let me visit occasionally, please. I am sad posting this and I want to be sure I can see she's taken care of.
Please email me and tell me about yourself, your home, and your experience with cats. Thank you.
