message cairnstone about this ad A traditional Asian homestead hog, Potbellies are bred for temperament, hardiness, and mothering instinct. They are easy keeping, do well on pasture, and are efficient with feed. They are great as a homestead pig, and breed well. Our pigs max out at 150-200 pounds at 5 years old, and reach 50 pounds at 6 months on very little feed. We raise them in a clean environment. They are healthy when a bit lean and are only fat when consistently overfed. As a meat hog, Potbellies produce fine, dark meat with rich marbling. We sell breeders- $200, pets100, and butcher-ready animals100 We have three breeding sows and do several litrers each year. The next piglets will be available mid-February. |
