We are a retired couple that have two AKC Doberman Females. Both are 100% European AKC Black Females, and our two adult females are not for sale, but they do have litters every Summer and Winter and their litters typically include both Black and Red puppies to choose from. We live here in Clarkston, Michigan just north of Auburn Hills. We are just a mile from exit 91 off I -75. We mate our AKC 100% Euro females each year with a 100% AKC European Male and have provided over 100 puppies over the past 8 years. Our Rosa just had a litter in January. I have raised Dobermans and German Shepherds most of my 78 years. We are both retired doctors. Our goal today is to raise the best, healthiest and most social AKC Dobermans in the Midwest. Our last litter of ten European Dobermans became available for adoption this past November. Our puppies are typically sold before they are born, probably because they are half the price of other 100% AKC Euro Dobermans available in this state. My wife provides attention, care and for each litter member. I believe this is the reason her puppies stay in demand. We are not a breeder or a kennel or even a puppy mill, but just a retired couple that enjoys seeing quality and healthy Doberman puppies adopted by good folks. For the past eight years my wife, Dr. Paula has raised healthy Blacks and Reds with glossy coats. She has a secret about that, and she will be glad to share it with you, when you come to visit. You are welcome to come to our Clarkston home and personally see our two AKC Doberman females, our current litter and to see the clean puppy hospital where they were born. Once you decide that you want one, a $500 deposit is required at that time. The balance is due upon adoption.
100% AKC European Dobes typically sell for $4000 to & 5000 and often come with restrictive titles requiring a future litter or pick or stud service from your AKC Doberman, which then is given back to the breeder to free up your restricted AKC title. Our litters do not have any restrictions and you get a free and clear AKC title on adoption day, with tails cropped and dew claws removed just as Mr. Doberman in Germany did over 100 years ago. In fact, if you want help breeding your Doberman, we are glad to help you. You may not want to breed your Doberman and our nonrestrictive titles allow you the freedom to do you want with your Dobe. Expect the Alpha Male to grow over 110 lbs.
AKC European Dobermans are typically more black or more red than American Dobermans. They usually grow a little larger (females 75 to 85 pounds with males growing 90 to 125 lbs This is usually 10 lbs. more than American Dobermans and typically are considered a little healthier and , this good health usually adds 2 to 3 years to a Doberman's life. While most Doberman books (actually most dog breed books) suggest that their lifespans are 9 to 11 years. Keep in mind that they are reporting an average of all Dobermans born and that includes those raised outside in a doghouse and/or in dirt throughout the world. where they can catch Parvo. Our European Dobes live between 12 and 16 years and live indoors like the rest of our family with all Veterinarian visits and shot records maintained. By the way, you not only receive your puppy with unrestricted AKC title, but with their health care cards filled out and up to date. We have raised and bred both American and European Dobes, but only raise 100% AKC Registered, European Dobermans today. We raise and breed clean, healthy AKC Dobermans in a very clean white puppy hospital shown in the photos above.
We trust that a review of our pictures above reflect that we are not a puppy mill nor a breeder who raises puppies in any questionable environment Our puppies are born in a very clean white puppy hospital in our heated garage and they receive love and training from the day they are born, often by our six children and 15 grand kids during their 8 week weaning period They come from our female Dobermans, measuring 96 degrees just like humans do. Their new world is a birthing box that is also 96 degrees and remains so during their first 3 to 5 days until their internal thermostats are developed and maintain their 96-degree . Their weaning period includes weekend social visits by you after they are 3 weeks old (Good female mothers typically don't let anyone but Dr. Paula and a few family kids visit or hold those puppies during those first 3 weeks. is probably the single most important factor during weaning or whelping. Our AKC European Doberman Puppies receive regular baths and even pedicures to make sure that they don't scratch their mother's feeding areas during nursing or you during your and adoption.
We believe that the amount of loving and trust that each puppy receives is probably the most important aspect of providing great AKC Doberman puppies for adoption. We also believe that the cleanliness they are born in, and the weaning process is very important for their temperament, their health and their extended life span.
Our new puppy owners often share their experiences about their former Dobermans with us. This is why our health guarantee is so important. We are always interested in how long their last Doberman lived and their cause of death, particularly if it wasn't of old age. On occasion our new customers describe reasons that range from a horrible virus named Coccidia, which is a virus that their original dog got from smelling and other animal wastes in their lawns. Another is Diabetes, which usually comes from feeding any dog human sugary treats that lead to fatty tumors. Just like humans, those fatty tumors can lead to cancerous tumors. This explains our attention to making sure our puppies are raised in a clean environment in our white puppy hospital and are not allowed in our own lawn, until they become vaccinated. This is crucial in providing protection from Coccidia. Parvo is the worst of the dog diseases but is usually not present when dogs of all breeds maintain their vaccine schedule. Each new owner gets our printed 7-page helpful hints report. It is written by us and shares our experience in raising and training AKC Doberman puppies for a healthy, long lives after adoption. That secret ingredient for a shiny coat, white eyes, and strong claws is included in that report.
Consider rewarding your Dobermans with treats made for dogs and not the sugary candies made for humans. Proper food treats, along with annual Vet visits and raising them mostly indoors instead of outdoors allows your Doberman or any breed of puppy to live longer than most. We also recommend that you get a new puppy once your Vet has told you that your current pet is going to pass away during the next 6 months. We have found that your older pet will usually live longer knowing that it needs to mentor your new puppy into your family's culture, which includes when they eat, where they sleep, when they go outside, etc.
OUR PUPPY'S HEALTH IS GUARANTEED
Dr Paula has a successful 8-year history, raising over 100 puppies from our AKC Doberman females. They are now found in good homes in 7 states from Wisconsin to S. Carolina. One is serving in Afghanistan with a soldier, and one is in Canada. All of our new owners have come to us thru Hobby's website and word of mouth. I have owned and helped raised Dobermans most of my 78 years. We maintain our Dobermans both indoors and out and they receive regular baths, health checkups and shots each year from our Veterinarian in and another in Port Huron, who sculpts their ears. Your new puppy will be adopted with their dew claws (which are a dog's front thumbs) removed which helps prevents leg sprains and their long tails cut to 2 vertebrae in length, just as Mr. Doberman did, when he designed this breed over a hundred years ago. We will also provide a history of why he removed the dew claws and cropped the tails. We also provide our new owners with a live video stream at the time our Clarkston Vet provides your puppy with its final vaccine and checkup, just before adoption. We also provide you with a video showing the moment your puppy was born. We also share a list of a dozen Detroit area vets who do ear sculpting. You are free to decide if you want to proceed with this procedure, which should be done before your puppy is 12 weeks old. Keep in mind that all Vets don't sculpt ears, just as most physicians don't do surgeries.
We also provide a full refund during their first 18 months, if your AKC Doberman Puppy comes down with any life- disease. Our health guarantee is contingent upon you taking your new puppy to your own Vet within the first week of ownership and getting your own checkup, which then provides you with two thumbs up from two different Vets. With both Vets giving a thumbs up, our 18-month health guarantee is in place This provides you with two professional opinions that you are adopting a very healthy puppy right from the beginning along with our health guarantee and your new puppy should experience a long healthy life in your pack or family.
AKC DOBERMANS ARE TOUCHERS
Some call Dobermans "Velcro Dogs. We simply refer to Dobermans as "Touchers They love to lean against your leg when you are standing or lay their heads on top of your foot, when you are sitting or reading. They want to be a part of your family or pack so much, that they are happiest when touching you. We have found that to be a two-way street. The difference between the word "Touchers" and the world's reference of " Velcro Dogs" is that we believe the word Touchers includes the word "LOVE" in it. Dobermans are also labeled in the top 5 for "intelligence" as well as "very loyal" by the AKC. In AKC's intelligent test, Dobermans learned over 200 single word commands i.e. Sit, Down, Stay etc. Our two females respond to about 40 single word commands as well as hand signals.
They also respond to punishments just like children do and an effective punishment is having them sit in a corner until they are allowed to rejoin your family. Unlike some breeds, they are easy to train and even to stay on your property, without an underground or above ground fence. We share that secret in our written report to you. When you visit, we will demonstrate that discipline with our own two Dobermans as well as their training procedure.
During the winter months, our 2 adult Dobermans will take our youngest grandchildren carefully by the wrist and pull them away from any of our home's 3 fireplaces and this is a discipline that we have never taught them. Females have some basic personalities just as the males do. Dobermans are very friendly and intelligent animals. They watch and learn from you. They often go to various windows in our home to look outside, determining who is friend or foe. They constantly remind us of how smart they are. While many new owners believe they can pick a great Doberman puppy early from a litter, it is actually the and the quality time you and your family spend with your new puppy, that provides the input into what personality your new puppy will have in your family. After all, remember that they want to fit into your pack or family.
Puppies of all breeds often fit well with your existing dogs or cats, particularly in the case where you own an older pet who typically takes on the role of a mentor or parent of your new puppy from us. As time and final growth takes place our Doberman puppies may typically grow larger and become the protector and or mentor to your existing pet. Dobermans usually reach full bone structure size in 18 months. Keep in mind that if you purchased an adult male or female dog of any breed to live with your current adult dog who is already in place at your home, this can cause competition or friction between the two, especially if they are both males. Even we had to apply extra supervision and discipline raising 2 females under our roof.
We begin house training your puppy before you adopt it. We also provide training videos that will help you and your new puppy learn far more from you during training. We can also help you with the training. providing you with short video clips of us training our Dobes, months after adoption.
LIVE VIDEO STREAMING AT BIRTH
All owners who have placed a $500 deposit on one of our Doberman puppies, will receive the live stream video of our last litter's birth. This is in addition to the live stream birthing that takes place when your new puppy is born. We accept deposits as soon as you confirm that you want to take that step. Pregnancy usually last 63 days. Weaning can take 6 to 8 weeks. Keep in mind that we raise only 100% AKC European Dobermans which can cost $4,000 to $5,000 from other breeders. My wife, Paula does not take any internet-based deposits, only cash or check and always cash at time of adoption.
