message fivejs about this ad 7 month old pure breed Shiba Inu. Prefer a home with prior experience with the breed or a lot of time on your hands and quiet environment to work with her. She is extremely shy and afraid of almost all indoor noises including human noises such as sneezing and coughing to name a few. Shiba inus are described as "cat-like" so she is not a lap dog nor does she come for petting. She is very independent, clean, and does things when she feels like it. She prefers to hide or sit in corners of rooms and just observe. Fully house broken but you have to carry her to door or pull crate up to door, open door, and then she will run out of not she will hold it for hours and will stay sitting till you get her out. The only time she is active and seems like completely happy energetic dog is at the dog park. Contact me to explain more but she is not your typical playful dog she seems to have missed her puppy stage and we just can't see a dog sit around all day uninterested when we are a family of 8 including children ages 0-19, another small dog, and a cat. We have never even heard her bark. Which Shibas are not known to bark much but we feel she needs a quieter environment and huge yard or land to run free. She came from a farm and we feel that may be a contributing factor as to why she is so uneasy indoors.
