message ceim about this ad This dog has had a long story. I don't know what her life was like prior to being adopted by us, but it wasn't good. How we ended up adopting her has been a rollercoaster. We saw the ad for her from our local shelter - they said she was a senior, so we figured we'd give her her end-of-life home. She's actually very hyper and active - we have doubts that she's as old as they said she is. We were told she could not be in a foster home due to "other dogs being aggressive towards her but didn't elaborate much. We were not informed that this dog has behavioral issues. When we came to meet her, we brought our baby and a couple of our other dogs. She acted fine at the shelter, but they did not mention she will snap at children - we had to find this out ourselves. She is also not good with other dogs for the same reason - of which we have several. She is food aggressive and will fight with our other dogs. She is hard to contain here as she jumps our fence - I believe she would do best as a farm dog. She is a very sweet girl. She loves attention, and needs play time and exercise, like border collies do. She runs up to anybody for affection and is very good with people - just not kids or pets. She is prickly when it comes to being reprimanded or groomed; I suspect she was beaten in her previous life before the shelter - but she is still incredibly loving. She is very good with potty training and will notify you if she has to go outside. We will need to be rehoming her, as we will be moving out soon. The shelter refused to take her back, all local shelters are full, and she has already been returned to us once. I've tried posting her in various places before, but nobody is interested. We're out of options, and I want the best for this dog - she deserves it, she's such a sweet girl - but we can't keep her.
