Important things to note before inquiring:
I have a closed door policy to my home and . I do not intake any outside felines. I do not breed my females to any males outside of my own home. Similarly, I do not allow my males to breed with any females outside of my own home.
As part of my closed door policy, I also do not allow visitors to our . I understand that this could be confusing to some. My reasoning is primarily for bio hazzard/ safety purposes. Viruses and parasites can carry on clothes and shoes and I wont put my cats at risk. All sales will be held in a safe public .
We can set up a vet appointment (at your expense) and meet in front of our vet if you would like extra reassurance on your new babys health. That is not a problem. Vet exam is $45. We can also provide vet and past purchaser references on our family and our babies. My vet has been to my home, knows us very well and can attest to the care we have taken of our animals.
More details on why I have a closed door policy:
-Privacy
My is my private home, my sanctuary, the place that I raise my human (and furry) family. It is not a storefront, open to the public. I have never been comfortable with inviting people into my space.
If I asked if I could come to your home and make sure it was a good environment for my kitten to be raised, would you be comfortable with that? Most people would not welcome the intrusion and would be potentially offended by the it may not be a good environment.
-Stranger danger.
Im sure you have seen news reports (many recently) where people have allowed strangers into their home to purchase an item or an animal and things have gone terribly wrong- from robbery, murder and a breeder having her unborn child cut from her body (yes, really Particularly in this day and age where animal rights extremists/ terrorists rule the media (and troll these sites daily, sending messages it is not a safe idea to welcome strangers into your home.
-Health of my animals
I touched on this a little previously. I cherish my animals, very much.
Animal viruses spread rapidly and with ease.
These invisible nightmares can be carried from clothing and shoes, to the environment in which my kittens are being raised. I have heard of breeders being wiped out from visitors brining in panleukopenia (feline parvo I cannot even begin to imagine the (financially and emotionally) of losing my cats. They are everything.
-Time (and sanity)
I hate to be so rude. BUT I get numerous requests for visits to see my cats and kittens, if I fulfilled them; Id be opening a pet store or a zoo. If I allowed every potential kitten purchaser to come and see my cats, I would have a constant stream of strangers traipsing through my home. I have a young family, a large furry family and a very large home along with a business to run. I couldnt find the time for visitors, even if I wanted to. It has been very uncomfortable for me when people in the past have shown up with an entire family, or children who dont respect rules. I once had a prospective family bring a large dog to my home (that was an uncomfortable There were families who dont remove shoes, or dont leave in a timely manner it all became too much for me. Especially with the time it takes to make your (lived in) home look like a show home, before every visit. I am sure you get the point.
I completely understand that there are people who simply won't consider purchasing a kitten unless they are allowed to visit the in which the kitten was raised, and I understand everybody has their own opinion. But if references arent enough, then it sadly won't be one of my kittens that they purchase.
All sales are subject to Ohio sales tax
