We have been breeding basset hounds for about 10 years now and throughout the years we have gained so much knowledge on the breed . Such as , the basset hound was bred originally to track rabbit. The basset hounds low but STURDY and ATHLETIC structure makes it the perfect hunting companion THEY SHOULD NOT BE 60 pounds at 4 months old , we definitely make sure our dogs stay fit and not overweight . We breed to produce a healthy family member , one that can see and has wrinkles covering their eyes , may be cute but usually leads to eye issues down the road . We breed against the European style basset as we feel basset hounds should be able to run and move and not weigh over 80-100 pounds .Now many bassets are family pets , our main GOAL is to produce a basset hound that looks like and able to hunt like its ancestors, there for we are proud to own and raise American style basset hounds . Our bassets have the capability to hunt if desired , or can be an active family member . Our bassets usually weigh between 35-60 pounds full grown . We feel it is necessary to bring back the original basset hound and what it was meant to be. All puppies come with shots , papers , puppy packet , .
