The mother of this litter had 7 puppies - 4 females and 3 males. She is in the 1st picture with all of her puppies. Pictures19 and 20, the last two pictures, are of the parents of the and the himself respectively. The mother was the best mother possible from A-Z: she breast fed them for 12 weeks until their teeth hurt her too much, ate their poop and cleaned their urine, cleaned each puppy thoroughly, protected them fiercely, played with them and put them in order whenever they became overaggresive with each other. We have 4 large adult dogs - 3 German Shepherds and 1 Tatra Shepherd - which is enough dogs to take care of already, so we cannot keep the 2 female puppies remaining even though we would love to. One of the two female puppies remaining likes to hold her ears up like antennas (Luna, we call her) and the other prefers to let her ears hang down (Umbra, we call her) ,although she does hold her ears up when she feels like it. Pictures 6 and 8 are of Umbra sitting on the trampoline in the backyard holding her ears up. She has been holding her ears up more frequently recently. Umbra was the most courageous and adventurous of all 7 puppies while they were growing up. She was the pioneer of all 7 puppies: she was the first of 7 to walk up stairs, the first of 7 to walk down stairs and the first of 7 to explore new areas inside the house and outside in the backyard as well as the first to try new activities. The parents of the puppies are 100% pure bred German Shepherds with no health problems and their personalities are the best possible. The mother and turned 4 and 5 years old on 12-12-23 and 12-2-23 respectively. The mother had 7 puppies spread out over two days, so the exact birthdate of Luna and Unbra is Monday, 9-11 or Tuesday, 9-12. They both turned 9 months old on 6-11-24 or 6-12-24. Luna and Umbra were born healthy and have been developing physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially well. They love all of our family members - our 6 year-old daughter, 2 year-old son, my wife and I, and 4 adult dogs - and they love each other. They love doing EVERYTHING together - running all over the house and in the fenced backyard, jumping on and crawling under the trampoline outside, chewing sticks and other items outside like plastic bowls, the trampoline tarp and styrofoam, brooms, chair seats, empty flower pots, and garden gloves among other items, digging holes, licking the faces and mouths of our adult dogs and each other, and play fighting - just to name some of the activities that they enjoy. We allow them to play in the backyard only with items that are inexpensive and not new - such as those items mentioned - because German Shepherds are working dogs that need to stay occupied productively. Luna and Umbra both weigh about 70 pounds of pure muscle. They both have shiny, thick fur like their mother. Their mother weighs 90 pounds and their weighs 125 pounds, although he appears to weigh much less than that since he is tall and looks skinny. The parents and female puppies are all athletic. Honest to God, it has been amazing for our family to experience all of the puppies growing up from the moment of their birth. They do not have any shots. They are not AKC certified, but the parents of their were both World Wide Kennel Club (WWKC) certified. We are not believers that only AKC
or other dog club certified dogs are the best dogs in the world. We owned the best dogs imaginable all of our lives - dogs that we would not trade for any other dogs in the world - and of all of them only the parents of the of this litter had kennel club . Recently, Luna and Umra did trying going to separate new families that each owned a dog already respectively (dogs age 8 and age 2 redpectivelly Luna and Umbra were both with the families respective dogs, so they became reactive and defensive. They loved the people in each house, but did not get along with the dog present in each house. So, ideally Luna and Umbra would remain together to eliminate any anxiety and go to a home that has no other dog(s) or maybe a home with another pupy or puppies present. If Luna and Umbra are separated, they would still each require going to a home with no other dog(s) present or maybe a home with another puppy or puppies present. Luna and Umbra would NOT cost $500 each to any family that wants to welcome both girls into their family. We would discuss an inexpensive price for both of the 2 girls together that would make the family adopting the 2 girls happy, because the 2 girls would be kept together as a family when new owners welcome the 2 girls into their family. We put all of our love into Luna and Umbra for 9 months and strive to find new owners that will continue to love them fully / allow them to continue loving each other fully. Luna and Umbra are extremely loving girls who deserve to be loved wholeheartedly in return. The siblings of Luna and Umbra are in the best hands, because they have loving owners for the of their lifespans. Their owners all confirmed to us that they are extremely happy with their respective puppies that they received. I know Umbra and Luna extremely well and am 100% confident that any family will be extremely happy welcoming these girls into their home(s) as their new family members. Please call or text Gary at (773) 616-7007 if you have any questions. Thank you for reading this long description - I tried to supply you with as many details as possible - and for any interest that you have in the 2 females.
