We didn't use prevention on time on the cats or the pups, and the cats brought fleas from the strays that stick around, and since the puppies where around the cats before we realized they have fleas, the pups caught it. We've tried a lot of things, but getting rid of fleas is hard when you got a lot of outdoor cats and pups. With training, they'd be great livestock guardian dog (lgd and the perfect companion.
