Do not have to go together but they have been buddies so they could. Neither of them know a stranger but Zeke has not been around cats or small dogs so won't place in home with either just for everyone's safety because he will definitely chase squirrels they taunt him lol Zeke has to be in only girl dog home as he will try to hump males, non aggressively but he does annoy them I'm sure)
